Jun. 15, 2008. The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) is holding its annual election for the new SEG Executive Committee. This is open until 31st July, and all active SEG members should have received an email with their unique password and a link to an independent website where they can vote. I urge all active members of the SEG to vote, as there is a strong selection of candidates, including Panos Kelamis. The new DGS President, Ralph Bridle, is looking forward to working with the DGS Executive Committee to deliver to our members a selection of activities to enhance the standing of the DGS as a leading professional geoscience society. This will be achieved through dinner meetings, technical seminars, workshops and field trips. The DGS is also keen to promote geoscience students in Saudi Arabia, and will be expanding our student activities.
