The new DGS President, Khalid Al-Rufaii would like to thank the past Executive Committee members for their perseverance and commitment in serving our society and for all the hard work that took place behind the scenes. I would also like to warmly welcome the new Executive Committee and urge them to continue on the path of technical excellence that made DGS what it is today.
November 16, 2008: A call for participation in the 2009 D&P Forum in Bahrain, from April 10-15, 2009, has been announced on the SEG website (www.seg.org). In an exciting move during the SEG Annual Meeting just held in Las Vegas, the SEG Council passed recommendations put forward by the SEG Membership Committee (chaired by the DGS President), waiving references for a candidate for Active Membership of the SEG if he/she has been a member of SEG for eight years. This is a significant step in encouraging more Associate Members to become Active Members.
